Marina Abramović arrives in Pesaro, in augmented and live reality

As a national premiere, from June 5 to June 18, 2024, the Pescheria Visual Arts Center in Pesaro, as part of Pesaro Capital of Culture 2024, presents THE LIFE installation, a 19-minute full-scale cinematic experience with an original performance by Marina Abramović, intended to be an event of mixed reality in the round. As in a meditation on the nature of memory, the artist transits between worlds, dissolving and reforming both as art and as energy, time and space. The installation is open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and it is necessary to show up at the entrance of the Pescheria Visual Arts Center at least 15 minutes before the reservation time indicated in the ticket. The entrance time to the installation space is approximate and will follow the order of arrival. Presales available starting May 10.

Also on June 18, at the Rossini Theater, THE LIFE will be the focus of a public talk between Marina Abramović and director Todd Eckert, focusing on the themes of work and the role of technology in art and life. Presales for the event available beginning June 12.

Notes for attending THE LIFE.

You must wear the AR glasses provided at the event to attend; AR glasses cannot be worn over prescription glasses. If you need vision correction, you may wear contact lenses or you must indicate upon arrival that you need additional prescription lenses for the AR glasses.

Tickets: Full 15 euros; reduced 12 euros for groups, G.Rossini State Conservatory of Music students, university students, conventions, Pesaro Capital Card holders. Free for children under 18 (excluding schoolchildren), ICOM members, journalists, disabled people and accompanying person, Family Card holders of the City of Pesaro.

Tickets can be purchased online, at Tipico Tips (Via Rossini, 41) or at the Teatro Rossini box office, open during the following hours: Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. (until May 31 on performance days also from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
