Artàporter, the platform that supports the development of emerging art with the goal of making it accessible to all, is born in Turin. The startup has just launched www.artaporter.it, which allows art to be welcomed in bars, restaurants, professional studios and affiliated stores through a network of artists and exhibitors. So far fifteen venues have joined the Turin-based startup.

The project is the brainchild of Massimo Gioscia and Dario Ujetto, together with Savio Musicco and Alyona Kosareva, supported by Pierangelo Decisi, Emanuele Buscaglione and Gaetano Coppola through ISC - Innovation Square Center, and joining Torino Social Impact. The idea stems mainly from the desire to rethink the common places of art, that is, the ability of cities to create urban galleries with new art-related tourist itineraries. Therefore, not only public spaces, but also private spaces, starting with merchants who love art and want to make their spaces available to display works. Intent is to increase the accessibility of the art world in different spaces in order to make it as accessible as possible and perhaps purchasable even in a local space. It is a phygital project that allows not only online matching between artists and shopkeepers, but also the emergence of capillary touch points through which to convey art spread with Artàporter District or art districts, creating new art spaces mapped throughout the city.

The platform is free of charge and is able to return 100 percent of the value of the artwork to the artist, thanks to a circular economy model that exploits the principle of sharing through a web platform that can be easily used from smartphones. Through geolocation, it is therefore possible to view a map of participating venues. Among the artists participating in the project are abstract painters such as Antonio Palmisani, Nico Biso and Norman Sgrò, but also digital artists such as Milena Petrelli, aka Muso, and Renato Muzzin. There is also room for photography with Sauar and neo-surrealists with Riccardo Fissore and Angelo Franco, and for street art with Morb, Plagio and the Rockmantic collective. Young artists such as Elisa Bonotti, Roberta N9VE, Chiara Gobbo and Lorenza Maddalena are also participating, as well as New York-based artist Frank Denota, one of the founders of the GANT Movement, who has collaborated with major pop artists such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.

The first matching between artists and venues have started these days, where it is possible to admire the first works among the streets of Turin. It is necessary to frame the QR code near the work with your smartphone to buy it and immediately take it away with you. Applications are also open for artists and retailers at www.artapoter.it.

The project has kicked off in Turin, but in the coming months it will arrive in other Italian cities and abroad.
