Brooklyn, interactive platforms light up with every step

An interactive installation on which to stroll to create ever-changing colorful compositions: it's Reflect. In the background is the Brooklyn Bridge.

It is amultisensory and interactive installation designed to be experienced by several people at once, but still maintaining the physical distance necessary at this time of pandemic. In fact, it is apublic artwork suitable for this period.

It is Reflect, three concentric rings, each formed by interactive platforms that respond to visitors’ footsteps and light up with different colors, creating ever-changing compositions. Created by Jen Lewin, the installation was placed in Domino Park in Brooklyn. It is for the first time in the United States, but its unveiling dates back to the spring of last year in Tokyo. During the day, Reflect ’s shiny dichroic surface mirrors the sky and its surroundings, creating a surreal and inspiring space. At night, the work comes alive and illuminates as visitors walk on the light panels.

Reflect creates a connection with its surroundings as well as with other users walking there simultaneously, but always safely. It will remain in Domino Park until April 15, 2021, and is accessible daily.
