Rimini ’s Galleria Zamagni launches a “cultural provocation”: a large installation intended to be a positive assemblage, almost an oxymoron in these times of the Covid-19 pandemic, but art can have that power. An assemblage created by works of art: a positive effect that art causes in those who admire it.
From Friday, November 20, 2020, a large work (two meters by four meters) composed of two hundred works, each measuring 20 x 20 centimeters, will stand out on the gallery’s large wall. Twenty artists made the two hundred works, each making ten interpretations. Title chosen for the installation is Twenty for Twenty.
“We want to give a message of hope, a stimulus to look forward. The viewer gets infected by art and a positive human quality: creativity,” stressed Gianluca Zamagni of the eponymous gallery, author of the initiative.
The twenty Italian and international artists who have joined this project intend to"positively infect those who admire the work, and art in general. A contagion of beauty, color, creativity, instinct, emotions that the large installation conveys to the observer.
A strong concept, a healthy provocation that infects beauty, hope, freedom of expression, a cure for imagination, a form of beauty that influences those who admire it.
Here are the artists involved: Fabrizio Berti (Trento), Davide Cecchini (Rimini), Stefano Cecchini (Rimini), Zino (Pescara), Mauro Pipani (Cesena), Massimo Pulini (Cesena), Giovanni Lombardini (Mulazzano Rimini), Svetislav Martinovic (Belgrade), Patrizia Zelano (Verucchio), Natasha Yalysheva (Omsk), Giovanni Gaggia (Pergola Pesaro), Lorenzo Cecilioni (Pesaro), Graziano Spinosi (Santarcangelo di Romagna), Francesco Zavatta (Milan), Mario Flores (Rimini), Alessandro Gianpaoli (Pesaro), Stefano Ronci (Rimini), Mauro Moscatelli (Rimini), Kiril Cholakov (Sofia), Denis Riva (Follina Treviso).
Twentyfor Twenty is on view from Nov. 20, 2020 to Jan. 20, 2021 at Zamagni Gallery in Rimini, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7:30 p.m. Closed Sundays.
