Ferrara, painting by Giuseppe Mentessi flies to New York for major exhibition

The Ferrara painting Panem nostrum quotidianum, a late 19th century work by Giuseppe Mentessi will go on loan to New York to be exhibited from January 25 to June 18, 2022 at CIMA (Center for Italian Modern Art). The painting will fly to the United States along with other works loaned on the occasion of the exhibition Staging Injustice: Italian Art 1880-1917, curated by Giovanna Ginex, a historian and expert connoisseur of Italian art from the beginning of the last century.

Panem nostrum quotidianum belongs to the collections of the Museum of the Nineteenth Century in Ferrara, and for the loan and transfer all the security guarantees of the venue, the authorizations of the Ministry of Culture and the Superintendence as well as the insurance policy were acquired.

Boldini, on the other hand, is still available to the public at the Palazzo Albergati in Bologna with six paintings and eleven graphics, and De Pisis is present at the Accorsi-Ometto Museum of Decorative Arts in Turin, with two oils on canvas from 1938, namely Strada di Parigi and Viale di Parigi, and the oil on cardboard La Coupole from 1928.
